Cessna-182 Crashed in Aegean See, near SAMOS Island

According to information, the plane, which was coming from ISRAEL, crashed in a sea area near Samos around 20:00 on Monday. A fishing boat, a Frontex boat, and a coast guard patrol have rushed to the Potokaki area of Samos. Super Puma helicopters belonging to the Air Force are involved in the investigation.

The airplane was flying from Israel to Samos and did not land at the scheduled time of arrival. As a result, the Airport Control Tower gave the order to mobilize the competent authorities and the Coast Guard for the relevant investigations, as provided by the procedures.
The aircraft was small, private and so far there is no evidence of what happened.
Flightradar24 tracking data suggest 4X-CHZ was the only Cessna operating on a flight from Israel for which the tracking data stopped to the south off Samos, at the reported accident time.
